Max wheel width

What is the biggest wheel tire combo that will fit o a 1989 Camaro? I was thinking 15x10 with a 28-12.50-15 tire, I dont want them to look retarded by sticking 2'' out of the wheel well.
Thanks for the help!!

It's going to depend on what slick brand you go with, every manufacturer sizes differently.

I know you will need to do some minor front inner fender beating since that is where the clearance issue will be no matter what you go with-nothing major, but it will need to be done.

What I know will fit since I've run them:

Hoosier full slick 28x10
Hoosier QTP dot slick 28x11.5

M/T full slick 29.5x9 but it did rub when psi was lowered for racing and making hard 90* turns

everyone of them had the sidewall flush with the outter most part of the wheel well lip. Do yourself a favor and make some removable "mud flaps" that alot of guys run...just the way the tires end up on the rims and the curviture of the bottom of the 1/4 panel behind tire allows alot of rubber to get slung all over the cars, -doors/windows, roof, front fenders, and hood along with just pasting the bottom half of the 1/4's. I came off the new paint job and got lazy-never used Pam or wax on 1/4's while racing and the hot rubber literally ate off all the clear coat in that area-looks really nasty when the car is cleaned up, so now I just leave the rubber on. Sounds dumb but it looks better than flaking/misssing patches of clear coat.
