1/4 time help
The closest 1/4 near my town is 2 hours away, so I usally pack my stuff and head to strip and spent the night. Every time I have run my car, Ive had a bunch of extra weight due to luggage, stereo, etc, all the stuf you need while driving long distances.
If my car is running 15.2 at 89.64 2.14 60' with 200 lbs worth of luggage, full stereo with subs and an amp, on a 95 degree day and the engine temp was at 230, i would think it has a bunch more in it, but how much? I'm thinking a mid 14 run isnt unreal

Can't you empty it out, and leave all that stuff in the pits? All I ride with is my helmet, and air pressure guage. I even remove the floor mats.
----------
Also, all that extra stuff can become lethal weapons, if somthing should go wrong, and an upset occurs.

Well there really wasn't a pit area, plus we had to rush to get a few runs in and didn't have time to do it.

I dont even have 200lbs of luggage when i go on vacaton for 2 weeks. There is no way you need all that stuff for an overnighter. 230 degree engine temp isent good. It gets 95+ here every day and i never see 230 unless i am low on water, something is wrong with that. On average you gain a tenth or so for every 100lbs you lose.

well you trapped 89.64 mph. 200lbs extra weight. and in 95 hot weather with a hot motor. with cooler weather you'll see abit more mph, probly 2-3mph dependin on how much better the weather is, might be even more. i see about 3mph difference from heat to fall cool air. cooler motor will probly pick up another mph. that brings you to about 93ish mph. droppin 200lbs will also pick up some mph. probly 1-2mph. so now up to about 95mph
2.14 60 is hurtin you abit too. i can see a 1.9x bringin u up near 1mph more trap speed. so you should be trappin near 96mph or so on a good day with a cool motor and less luggage/stereo stuff/etc.
96mph is good enough for low 14's with the good launch. that cooler weather, cooler motor, and less weight also picks up ET which you really like to see. a better 60 foot and gettin rid of the above mentioned handicaps could definately take off over a half a second off your times. you should definately see mid 14s to lower 14's.
also if you get time, bring some ice with you and ice down the TPI manifold plenum/runners. it also shaves off a tenth off your ET's
