Rain!!!
We've been rained out all year and haven't had any points races yet. I managed to get a few passes at a test and tune and a few passes at a street car night (with a broker rocker) but that's it.
Car went 1.69, 11.98@113.4 on the first pass wit the new converter and 235 radials on a conservative tune. There's gotta be more in it.
Anyone else getting rain all year?

We've been lucky so far this year. Every off weekend when we're not racing, it's raining. It rained all week last week. It cleared up Friday morning. Saturday night got rain delayed enough that they had to finish the race on Sunday before the Sunday race could start. Sunday was perfect and now it's supposed to rain again until Wednesday.
Unfortunately, without a race car, I don't really care if it's raining or not however if the weather is nice, spectators will come out and support the track and I want to see that more than anything. For the last few years, we had so many rained out races, not just on the drag track, it was hard to imagine the track staying in business. It's hard to believe that in a city of about a million people, many don't realize we have a motorsports facility within the city limits.
The big mystery is will the rain hold off to allow the upcoming Rocky Mountain Nationals in Edmonton. If it gets rained out again, there will be a lot of racers from the east coast deciding not to come back in the future even though they can get bonus points at this event. If Calgary ever gets on the IHRA circuit, they'll be able to make the trip for a double race.

This past weekend was supposed to the the 40th Anniversary celebration race for us at SIR. We had Chuck Haynes' two jet cars as well as the Nanook and Rat Trap AA/Fuel Altereds. I was really pumped to see the AA/Fuel cars but the race was called on Saturday and the track/pits were just too wet to go yesterday.
We have a street legal race on Friday night and then that's it unil July 7th. I am planning my travel schedule so that I can be back for Friday and make some passes. I am thinking about driving to Edmonton on Saturday morning for some real action but no one else can or wants to come.

We got rained out one Friday in May. Some delays since, but got the races in.
Last Friday the Lucas Oil Series at Bandimere had some delays during qualifying. But, they got the race in as well.
