I'm ready to go (again)

I don't know how many times I've said this now but I'm ready to go, again. The engine was fired up today. Timing was set, fluid levels checked, tires inflated. The hood and nose have been put back on.

I just need to take the car to a car wash and wash the underside and rear to get all the old oil off. I'll be burning off a few gallons of fuel in the next 2 weeks to burn off any oil still inside the header tubes and mufflers.

2 weeks to spare. Next race is Sept 2/3 (long weekend). I only missed 5 of 14 races not counting the race when the engine blew. Only 5 races left in the season.

Huge 40th anniversay race @ SIR this weekend. Jets, Funny Cars, Fuel Altereds. Something to consider since you've missed events at home. Should be our biggest race in the last decade!!!

The Sept 2/3 race:

Saturday evening and Sunday will include feature cars: AA Fuel Altereds, West Coast ProMods, Jet Cars, Wheel Stander, Top alcohol Funny Car match race, Blown Alcohol Renegades and a full bracket elimination program for each day. Friday night Test and Tune.

We were to have a race on Aug 27 but there was a date conflict. The big rigs have the track that day.
