Is this Good ??

Hello .. my name is Donnie .. I have a blue IROC.. alot of you may have seen me on PINKS ..

You guys know third gens and I love em ... I try to tell others that they can be fast ... and that I'm doing pretty good with mine.. but you guys are the real experts .. so I want to know what you think ..

It's an 86' IROC .. I took the stock L98 out and put in a carbed 383 .. with a NOS cheater system...

I just drove to Redline raceway (1/8 mile) .. its about 30 miles from the shop.. and ran a 6.38 @ 110.67 mph w/ a 1.49 60ft .. on a 250 shot ....the 9" tire class was out there tonight and they let me use their scales . it's weight with me in it was 3769 ... it did have a full tank ...

It runs on pump gas only .. not even a 1 gallon fuel cell for the nitrous ... it all comes out of the factory tank .. and the only thing I don't have on it is AC... I still have the factory Iroc wheels on it with MT drag radials .... 255-50-16 .I do not change rims at the track ....

what else .. oh .. I have a basically stock Th400 with the stocf 7.5 10 bolt (it does have moser axles ) .. stock posi diff .. with 2.73's yes 2.73's that's not a typo .... and I have a spohn torque arm .. LCAs .. comp 3 way shocks... and LCA relocation brakets.. other then that it's all stock .. I still have the front sway bar ...and stock rear sway bar...

It is a street car, and I drive it everywhere .. i drove to abilene and went a 6.52 @ 109.8 .. the elevation is about 1,000 ft higher so it slowed down ...

Well thats it .. I wanted to know if there were any other daily drivers runing around that were as fast or faster .. and I want to know what you guys think... any input would be great...

Respect the Third Gen ..

Your car runs good. I thought the drag radial vs slicks on the other car strategy really worked well for you.

What happened to the car you won, the chevelle?

Welcome Aboard.

I have seen your car in person several times before, but have never seen you around it lol. Well, a couple of weekends ago at the PINKS deal in Ennis I saw you, but you looked asleep so I left you alone.

The car is a sleeper for sure. Under the hood it dosent look like much, but we all know that is'nt the truth. Pretty damn good times too, even with 2.73's. Keep it up.

Maybe I'll see you around sometime. My car is black and might stand out a little if you look under the hood lol.

1.49 60', 2.73 rear... holy schnike! Was that spraying right off the line?

Just curious, how come it didn't just blow the tires off... Think the torque arm and LCA's really helped it hook up, and not just smoke like crazy?

what heads are on that motor? (didn't see the show pinks in case it was mentioned on that... glad you didn't lose your car though!)

Big cam, how's it on the street? sluggish below...3000RPM? i'm just curious, I like to know how big cams run in street cars... power brakes work ok?

We're proud of ya Donnie!
