the majority of the 16 cars that they "pick" are already chosen before the race begins. big time track sponsors are guaranteed to get their cars onto tv. Read several posts on different boards about the politics behind it.

Well considering I knew one of the guys that was in the 16 at MIR and he about fell off his chair when he was called I wouldnt say that its totally fixed. I do agree that it all seems somewhat fixed. I am just going for the fun and party.

they will probably decide that once they have seen all the cars qualifying times.

They pic the 10 cars that are the closest to each other in Et.

For instance, if they have 10 cars that run .2 of each other in the 12 second bracket and 10 cars that run .5 of each other in the 10 second bracket, they will most likely go with the 12 second bracket.

Re: 2008 PINKS ALLOUT schedule
im thinking of going to commerce, i guess i could put it on the bumper to see if it makes tv lol, what im thinking is pull the limiters and run n\a since they might check stuff if i go under 9.99, no comp. license yet, cage not certified yet etc.

Re: 2008 PINKS ALLOUT schedule
From what I have seen on TV they dont check the cars to well. There was a car running in the 16 that just had a lap belt and no cage. It was a low 10 hi 9 class I think. The only issue that I know they had was a Maple Grove with that mustang. But hey stand it on the bumper it should make tv.

I dodnt want to run the bottle, i cant go 3 rounds on one bottle no less 5 so id run just engine in quals, unless it goes to crap on the first pass.

Cant, they document your times. If you go 10.0's and thats the class you qualify for, then you put the bottle in and go 9.50's, youre DQ'd.
