Went to the tack with the 3.42's

It was hotter than last time, 90* this past weekend, and 55* when I went in November a couple of years ago.

With 4.10's and cool weather I was able to run a slow 15.2@93mph, 2.0 60' time.
this past weekend in the heat with 3.42's, I was able to get a 15.54@91mph, 2.28 60' time.
Pretty sad since the car dynos 195RWHP and weighs 3345 with 1/2 tank of gas, small sub box and small cooler with some drinks in it.
There are about 180K miles on the ole 305.

Re: Went to the tack with the 3.42's

loads more in it with better launch and less weight 200whp is capable of mid 14's.

I ran 14.0 at 94 with a roughly 3520lb raceweight 350 TPI car that was making 200whp and 280ish torque at the time. EST wire was diconnected and i was wondering why i was so slow, not my normal mid high 13's run that day . 2800 stall and 3.27 gears gave me a 1.79 60 foot.

ya, my 86 Trans Am with the LG4 and T5 was faster than this car, 14.9@92mph.
I never dyno'd the 86, but I did use the Gtech on it and it said 199rwhp. 86 weighed in at 3380lbs.

I've got a 355 with alum L98 heads in the garage for the car. Just need to buy the rotating assembly and a cam for it.
