ok gang I have read and reread just about every post on this forum..
here is a question for you all..
I have a 1969 cope deville with a 472 in it right now... Yes it runs Too.
but it has a Blown trany.
I am l looking to put it in a camaro or firebird to build a Drag car ?
do you think this motor would be to BIG or would it even work for
what I am looking to do ??
also what parts would be good to pull off the cope deville to use..
ok dont shoot the new kid on the block .. kid?? that is funny I am 44yrs old.

You can install a Caddy engine into anything that will accept a BBC except a lot of fabrication is needed in a third gen.
You'll need a B-O-P-Caddy transmission because they use a different bellhousing bolt pattern than Chev.
As for performance potential, it's not a great choice. Caddy valvetrains don't like going above 4500 rpm. In the long run, it will be cheaper and better to install a BBC.

I did not think it would work but I thought I gave it a shot and see what the
people on here would say..

I am looking to set up a car and the hope of turning 10.5sec to 11.0 in 1/4 mile maybe you can help me on what to look for and how to set this up.
