rear bumper hold shape without bumer support?

rear bumper hold shape without bumer support?

looking to shed some pounds for the track, but i dont want to sacfrice my bumper sagging.

any guys had it out for a while with results? bumper all wavy or still holding shape?

Mine has kept it's position. It makes it difficult if you have to push the car around.

mine's holding fine, but it'll almost definitely chip the paint if you push it with a 4 wheeler or something

I built some fairly lightweight support behind mine utlizing 1/2 electrical conduit and some bed-frame angle iron and four short pieces of 1/2 pipe. Keeps the bumpers form, and is solid enough to push the car around by. - I attached the four pipes to the body(one on either side, two splitting the middle) and welded a short piece of angle iron to them at the bumper angle. I then connected between them with the conduit and ran a couple angled braces using the conduit. All together it weighs less then the plastic "egg-crate" energy absorbent did and I can still push the car around as needed.

Mine looks fine...Quay made the stock bumper mounts the mount for the Chute. had it out since 03
