havent been on in a while T/A update
well a few things have happend since i ran my 13.07 last fall. this spring i got my drag radials on but my motor started makin some rocker noise and i had to tighten up the lash on 2 cylinders(not a good sign on hydraulic cam) i actually brought the car to a dyno just for to see what itd lay down. results 235hp and 280tq.... hmmm last year i trapped 107 so i knew that 235 was way low. i parked the car after that while i gathered parts for hydraulic roller cam swap. here is what i found when i pulled my old cam out of it

as you can see a couple lobes are about round
2 bad lifters

my new cam is a comp hyd roller w 235/249 @.050 .510" .522" on a 107lsa. i had to go from 1.6 rockers down to 1.5 so i picked up some aluminum full rollers from summit.
here is what it looked like as i waited for the correct timing set to arrive. it took 3 sets before i got the right one (damn 96-98 vortec blocks)

got it running a few days ago took it for a spin and it felt real lazy so i tried adding some timing and found that my new summit billet dist(only 500 miles on it) took a **** and the advance arms were floppin all over the place and adding no mechanical advance. summit is sending me a replacement as a one time courtesy exchange cause it is out of its 1 year warranty. props to summit for helpin me out i cant wait to get it in there and dialed in.
