Just hit the track this weekend

First time out for the year. i guess it was a success, since nothing broke (knock on wood). My best time last year was in late october with 40 degree weather. My best 60 foot time was 1.51 with a 1/4 time of 11.72 at 115.90. This year the weather was close to 80. It was tough getting traction. I started out with 60fts in the 1.79 range. And worked down to 1.58, and that was still putting it a little sideways out of the hole. My best 1/4 time was 11.74 at 116.12 with a 1.58 60 ft. The only mods I had done was put a bigger cutout on. ( 3 inch to a 3.5 inch), and replaced my electric water pump with a stewart mechanical one. I am wondering if my M/T et street radials are enough for me now. I have had them for 6 years, and they are the 255/50/16's. Any input on tire choices. I would like to keep my 16X8 rims in back also.

Nice times. That's right where I want to be eventually. Not sure It'll happen though. I race at W.I.R. in Kaukauna WI.

I race at W.I.R too. I don't have my third gen anymore, now I have a flat gray 77 Firebird. Maybe I'll see you up there.
