I have a set of Mickey Thompson drag radials (255 50 16's) on my Camaro. I have about 3 years/3000 miles on them so far. The 2 grooves in the center are gone, and I'm to the wear bars on the side tread. They almost look like actual slicks except for the diagnal grooves on the edges. They seem to hook better than ever lately on the street. Can i run these to the cords? I drive my car about 20 miles per week on the street when its dry. can i get one more summer out of them?

 

run 'em to the cords...they'll still work then too, but it's definitely not safe at that point, lol

getting a whole summer out of them will depend on how long your summer is i suppose. if you do a lot of racing/burnouts, they probably won't last another summer. i go through about 2 sets of rear tires per race season

 

back in the day i ran a set of bfg radials till i saw cords all the way around in the center. lol!

 

They really hook starting about where you have them now, keep going

 

This is when I replaced my last set after 106 passes, made 11 passes and won my class that day too I go through 3 sets a year so I try to get the most out of them lol.
