If your running on street tires. Avoid the waterbox, and do a small burnout. 2-3 secs both tires spinning.. you don't wanna bake them otherwise street tires get slick.

Go on the last yellow.. feather the clutch out at around 1100-1500rpm to start with and than plant it to the floor about 30 feet out.

With a stock TPI probaby shifting around 4700rpm to start with.. keep working up or down a hundred rpm to find the optimum shift point.

with the 87 iroc you can shift at about 5200 rpms and get the optimum amount of hp out of your car. be careful about shifting to hard dont spin. kinda ride the clutch a little to get started then to the floor once car is rollin and not gonna spin em.

I did go through the water box, and the car seemed to hook up just fine, but I have 2.77s and a stock stall converter.
For shifting, I take it to 5500 in 1st and 5000 for the 2-3 shift.
