Hey,
I got those crank horsepower and torque numbers from the dyno shop (Atlanta Chassis Dyno). They say they generally get a 20% loss of horsepower and torque through the tranny and driveshaft in automatics and 15% in manuals. Also I have a steel driveshaft for whatever that's worth.
As far as ET's and MPH's are concerned, I think that maybe due to differnet tracks (I was racing at Commerce, GA, which is considered to be a pretty high altitude track). At this track stock LT1's usually run about 14.3's@98.xx.
Thanks for the info. on the posi rear stuff. I'm just about sure that's what has happened to mine.

hey 350 just thought i would let you know that once the beginning of the year rolls around ill be out at commerce with my 79TA. dark blue, t tops, no lettering, tinted windows, and stock rims. ill probrably be hangin with a couple of fourth gens that work and go to school here in athens with me at least thats the plan but i may be out there by myself.TINFY
no problem man.. and if you were racing at a high altitude track then yeah that can kill your times. You should try correcting those times for elevation just so you can compare your car's performance to everyone else's.
