Zero to 60 again

84 Z, L69. I want to be doing zero to sixty in about 5 seconds.

Is this attainable, keeping the 305 (there's too much life left
in it to scrap it now)?

I plan on adding an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap manifold for Vortec heads,
of course will add the Vortec heads, Comp cam .452 in and .469 exh with
218* Intake duration and 224* exhaust duration. I have a 650 Q jet off
of an early 70's chevy, hooker headers, and HEI dist. This package I
applied from an article using an LG4 from an '82 camaro.

I also plan on buying some performance shocks, a wonder bar set, strut
tower braces and the same for the rear shocks. Handling should be very
nice.

So with this package, will I be able to get from 0 to 60 in around 5
seconds, or will I have to change the intake for more torque?

Thanks,

GruveB

it may be hard to make the car hook in a straight line with a road racing suspension. you should have enough power as long as the car isn't too far over weight and you have the right gears.
let us know how it turns out.
