Finally in the 13's!

Well, I just went and raced the car with the new 356 for the first time and it surprised me. Even though it isn't running at it's best it managed a 13.7 @ 101mph. This is with the 305 chip and injectors, stock tpi and street tires. I didn't bother to take out my 75 pound sub box either.
I figuerd it would go at least low 14's but that was great!
It has bad traction problems right now. The best 60 foot i could get on street tires was a 2.040.
A little more tuning and it should go around 13.5 @ 103mph easy. Then i'll try with my drag radials....

'88 RS (originally 2.8)
New 350, .040 over, ported vette L98s, ported stock tpi.
Old 305 injectors & chip
TES headers, 3.73 gears, 700r4.
Best with 2.8-17.4@77mph
Best with 305-15.0@93mph
Best with 356-13.7@101mph
(Damn the 2.8!)
