Coilover rear shocks or what?

I currently have stock rear springs and shocks on my Camaro with a Southside Machine sauare tube ladder bar setup. Springs are stock and shocks are CE 3 way adjustables. The rear body is all stock as far as the frame rails and spring pockets. Looking to improve traction so I'm thinking of what I can do suspension wise. Would like to see if anyone installed coilover setup with stock rear frame. Or if anyone installed coilovers in the stock shock location. I've alo seen the coilover springs with adapters in the stock spring location. How does this work?
Pics would be great
