NFRA Race
Who in here has a carbed 3rd gen and would race in the NFRA if they allowed carbed cars?
I really would like to know how many people in here drive 3rd gen F-Bodies, like myself, and wish to race in the NFRA but cant due to the administrators not being open to the idea of Carburetors.
Input is appreciated, since Pro Stock John thinks there are only a few supporters and drivers of carbed third gens that would like to race the NFRA.

I feel your pain man. Its funny. I have had at least a dozen carbed f-body owners email me about this subject or talk to me at the track about it.

I have a carb and provided it doesn't overlap on an NMCA/NSCA or Orlando World Street nationals weekend, I would probably show up, provided I can run my carb and an N20 shot or possibly a non GM based aftermarket block. Just so I get a carb

Thanks for the replies guys. Curt, dont you have a FI setup? I know that Ive seen you posting on CamaroZ28 and NFRA site, I appreciate your open mindedness. I think what PSJ and CE dont understand is it takes quite a bit of $$$ to make a 3rd gen fast utilizing EFI.
I also still believe that there is more than just ONE carbed third gen on this board.....
am I posting this in the wrong section?
More replies would be great

I have a carb and would be more than willing to race. I was one of the first people to hit them up for the class this spring. Lets keep trying.

I use and prefer EFI but it doesnt mean I dislike racing cars with carbs on em. By all means, bring all comers! It doesnt matter who I beat.
Seriously. I like the focus on EFI... but dont mind having carbs in there.

I have a carbed 3rd gen and would like to race in the NFRA provided it's within a reasonable distance from home like an AZ or CA event!!
I was just thinking the same thing the other day. I think that they're leaving out a lot of cars by not having a carbed class. I know that they want to keep it small, but my car doesn't fit into many classes anywhere other than street racer.

I've got a Carbed Thirdgen i'd like to race in competition..
I just don't see me driving it out to kentucky to do it. I live 45 minutes from Englishtown, and three minutes from atco.. I have no need to drive 12 hours to race
If there were events in this area i'd consider doing it, once i found a class to fit into
