Radiator upgrade???

Looking at a new radiator for my 85 Z28 bracket car. Been using a stock replacement plastic tanks aluminum core. Not having any problems but would like to cool a little quicker between rounds if possible. I need a radiator for another project so I was going to use the one from my Camaro and buy it a new one. Was looking at the 2 row Champions on ebay. Anyone have any experience with them or anything better within that budget range?

I have the champion 3 row and it does the job and more with 160 thermostat and driving 40 mph my fans set to 180 deg shut off. If you have an electric waterpump and switch for cooling fan then you can always cool down the water even more in the pits. Hope you have a good battery!

Wondering about quality of radiator. I have an electric pump and fans and cool the car between rounds, keep a charger on it while cooling and have an alternator. Been working for 20 years like this.

its the best you can get for the money, ive had a be cool(2 row) that fell apart after many years, and I think this champion will last a long time.

Beeman … you are a smart man. this is best way to cool off between rounds,,, a pin on hoods that you can take off in the pits helps too.

Re: Radiator upgrade???

I've got a pin on hood and have used a pump up garden sprayer on the radiator too when it's real hot and humid.
