Suspension & Launching
Here is the suspension Questions
How low is to low to get a good launch?
I want eibach sport lines (1.75"-2.25" lower) but would settle for the pro kit (1.25" lower) if the sport lines are to low.
What adjustment do I want my Struts/Shocks on for the strip?
I ordered a pair of KYB AGX struts/ shocks.
Ok, now on to Lauching
What RPM should I let out the clutch at?
What RPM should I shift at?
I have headers, cat, cat-back, 3.45 gears, and a 5 spd.
Any help is much needed. I dont want to be so green when I go to the strip.

i have no idea for the lowering data but you want help so here goes. i think any lowering will hurt your ets and 60' times. less weight transfer due to lower genter of gravity.
I launched my 300 horse 305 5 speed aith 3.73 posi at about 2500 rpms until it broke. i run 255/60/15 tires on the back. Maybe this will give you a ballpark rpm, anyone else?
p.s. this is on the street, so you'll probably have a grippier track surface.

100 lbs = .1 second faster. if you're really serious about the drag racing, take out the box. If it's just a once in a while thing, leave it in and save the trouble of removing it. I think 3500 rpms would smoke the tires.

Don't be surprised if you ET better with the box in. It will pull down your trap speed, but believe me, it helps the launch alot.
I have a heavy box also and when i take it out i can't hook as good, but mph better due to less wieght.
Just my experience.
It would be better to remove it and move weight from the font of the car to the back, like the battery. That way, you lose the weight of the box, but still have some weight behind the back wheels to aid the launch.

How often you gonna go to the track? Eibach makes a Drag Launch spring kit [has an air bag in right rear spring] for 205$ getting mine installed tomorrow]
Street tires? leave the air pressure at 30 - 35 lbs and stay out of the water box, do your burnout atleast 2 feet beyond the burnout box.
Even if your going just once all year, your going to get the best ET you can right? drop all the dead weight you can [including the girlfriend].
You'll prolly want to leave as the 2nd yellow light is going out for a good reaction time also.
