Greetings!
Greetings!
My wife and I just picked up a straight 89 Camaro RS yesterday with the LB8 and 3.73 Posi. I look forward to restoring it and possibly getting to know some of you in the future. This is my first "muscle car" to work on as I have always been a tuner. Decided to give up the rice for something with more protein.
The car is in good shape (haven't gotten into beginning a list of need to do's yet). We were really surprised all the dash lights and gauges worked as well as a pristine interior. Obviously, there is quite a bit of work to be done before cruise night but she's a daily driver already. I am here to meet some people, get tech help along the way and figure out what I want to do with this pretty thang. I'd like to keep the LB8 for gas milage. I know a 5.7 can go in there but I dont think thats going to be my track. I think I would like to beef up the LB8, possibly forced induction. I'm not sure yet as I don't even know what is possible or best practice with these things yet.
Any members in Central Oregon?

Re: Greetings!
Congratulations on your purhase. I live in BC, so no great help. On the other hand, two great resource to help you.....1) this website and searching the various forums and 2)the factory service manual from Helms.

Welcome to the site! We don't have many Central Oregon members, the bulk of the people are on the "northern" I-5 corridor. Like GTA50 said, this site is a great resource (with plenty of opinions thrown in!)
