Did something kinda cool today....
We are doing a full page spread for Veterans Day and I thought it would be cool to get all the local vets down and get a picture of them, so we put a notice in this weeks paper, and even though it was really short notice we had about 45 vets show up (45 people in a town of 1000 is pretty impressive). People from WWII, Korea and Vietnam, it was really great to get to talk to some of them.
Anyways, I just thought Id share that.
Oh by the way, Cats **** me off. Why is it that they must run around in mud/dirt and then stumble about on my car. I think im going to buy that Car Jacking Flamethrower device they have in South Africa just to teach the cats a lesson. Course, then Id have to move my Neon

Thats my "tech" portion of this post

Hehe sweet dude... You just have the wrong cats, mine are to lazy to even leave the house these days so no worries about my car.
Yeah, well, I have the SPAZZ cat (Milo) that runs around like a chicken with its head cut off, (this is the one who gets on my car) and then I have Tigger, who just lays around, catches rabbits, kicks the hell out of Milo, and then, he lays around some more.
Maybe I should tie a old camshaft to Milo's tail so he gets lazier

My in-laws use to have these things called scat-mats. They're a rubber mat you lay on your car then plug in. Cat touches it and the car it gets a shock. Eventually they learn not to get on the car.

Plus, hes not to smart, he might just keep jumping up there and cause himself some permenent damage, like all his hair might fall out and I would have to rename him "Mr.Bigglesworth"

Wow, thats cool. Our Vets are our greatest heros. My Grandfather was an infantry officer in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of the Arden Forest among others. Hes seen alot in his 80 some odd years, unfortunately, he rarely talks about his war experiences. The few things I have heard him tell about are very gruesome and disturbing. Nothing in 'Saving Private Ryan' even comes close to some of the things I've heard my Grandfather talk about.

It was really good to get to talk to some of these guys, and seeing them together was great too, I could just see them in their uniforms way back when. This job has all sorts of rewards and such, one of the next things on my list is a 5 mile hike to this waterfall, so I go from talking to Vet's to seeing some of the more beautiful areas around here.
Expect another pic post after that as well. Especially since I will have a Smart Card reader (provided by work just for me) at home on Monday.
