Heck I see too that it is very quiet here now. I still need to swap that tire out on the rim I got from you a while back. Been too lazy. Sent you a PM about that fender and t top stuff. You got anyother stuff you looking to get rid of for a 3rd gen? I may need some. Lemme know.
Relized that maybe I shouldnt reply at 3am, lol cause I gets peoples mixed up. Sorry. HAHA.

Yeah, there's been so little participation it's weird. ...I've been hanging out more in the SouthWest forum, but I always hit the Pacific first and mostly it's empty.

Hey Keola -- thanks for bringin' the blisters over, when I get some major roof and tenting house stuff finished, I'll be getting on with the flat hood mold project. BTW, let me know if you want me to spot-blend some clear on your wing.

I'm enjoying the TTA - despite the quirks it has. It's my daily driver right now. 101k on the odometer now, so it's not like I have a super-valuable one anyway. I've yet to take it to the track. I need to find something to drill out the t-top screws to replace the support bracket Shawn sold me. And get my fingers on the replacement screws. That'll be fun...

Half-heartedly trying to sell the GTA - it runs good, but it has issues and don't want a lot for it.

Work has been crazy, I got a promotion so I work a lot of overtime now doing paperwork. Never thought I'd see the day I would have a desk job!

Call some of those "mobile mechanics" and find one that knows Chevy electrical systems, bet ya it can be fixed pretty fast with a new cable or fuse, and you'll save the cost and hassle of towing. A few years ago I had problem with an RS I couldn't solve -- 30 minutes with one of those guys and it was fixed.

Also don't have any third gens. I miss working on them. Putting cash aside slowly for my next f-body, but until then I'm still down if you guys meet up at the track or something. Just don't take any pics of my current beater....

Car: too many ...
I've been really sick recently so all my progress came to a grinding halt. I haven't worked on any car in 2 weeks. This weekend I should be starting back up, need to swap out the rear calipers (one of em froze!) and get the rotors turned on the IROC. Also need to reset the TPS and the Timing before I take it for a test drive. Cant wait to get the car running good and go drifting.

Indeed... this forum has certainly died down a bit. As for myself, i've been busy balancing school and work. With my girlfriend going to college in the mainland, i'm spending ALL my money visiting her when i can. It's all good though, she make-a me happy and i enjoy doing what i can to be with her. Lookin to get another job too... $7 an hour just doesn't cut it for me anymore with some recent added expenses.
The car - Still got the two third gens, the 91 RS and 92 Z28. Nothing really new with the RS cept for a shift kit.
The Z is sort of in a state of idleness right now. Gas is too expensive to drive it around much with about 8 mpg. Haven't been to the tracks in over a month. Since my last update, we've installed a vaccum can for the brake booster, and replaced the plastic overflow tank with an aftermarket cylindrical one. And we finally got a fiberglass cowl hood from unlimited products but it wasn't built right and we are having issues with returning/exchanging it.
Dare i say this, but i'm looking to beat my import friends at their own game. None of them are willing to race against the Z28 (damn right suckas!, haha) so i want to sell the RS and get an import to race against them with. Weapon of choice: 92-96 Honda Prelude w/H22A VTEC motor. It seems a logical choice considering my budget... STI and EVO are sooo out of budget. But i figure i can make about 350 - 400 HP with approx. $4000 worth of turbo/cams/tuning/transmission work........OK, maybe more like $5500

Hey everyone I'm still alive too! haha! I just kinda disappeared for a while. I had other personal priorities to deal with for a while but tried to at least check in here just to read up on the latest but I didn't post. Nothing new with the car & motor since money has shifted toward other priorities. I'll probably get back to everything in about a month or two!

A prelude eh? not that bad of a choice.. i guess for me i just dont dig fwd. But you could probably pick one up for dirt cheap nowadays, there are a lot of em for sale. My weapon of choice for an import will always be a 3000gt-vr4 heavy *** pigs but i just love em, they make pretty good power; look cool too, almost camaro like hehe....
Well, fourthgens are as Ed said, "a different kind of animal" than thirdgens. Though they both share a lot in common, the feel of driving one is completely different. One thing to be said about gas mileage though is that im currently getting about 25mpg mixed with my LS1, gotta love that part... as far as engine sound goes, the L98 and LT1 sound wayyy better than an LS1.. can't even tell im drivin a v8 cept when i mash the throttle. Oh and i have not only one but TWO cupholders... I still miss my thirdgens... and i miss not having cup holders.

kaaawaz28 -- Hi Thomas, thanks for coming online, it's always nice to see more 3rdGen people coming online. Mobile mechanics are a great alternative to the hassle of taking one's car to a regular garage. In fact , some of the best mechanics I've met are mobile guys who got tired of being chained to a lift in someone's sweat shop...

Would appreciate if you can send me a PM with your contact info and rates. Although I like working on cars, when problems with my back prevents me from fixing them, I'd like to be able to call on someone skilled with 3rdGens, Chevy electronics and TPI in particular. Thanks, Ed
