Hello. I have a 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with automatic transmission and the original 4-barrel carburater. This is a federal car as well. I am also looking for the emmissions decal as well as the Emmission Hose Routing decal. I need one that corresponds specifically with my car. I am willing to pay for one. Can anyone help me out? Thank You

Is there anything left of the original decal? Firebirds often had them on the underside of the hood rather than the radiator trim cover. If it is still there, what is the three-letter code in the upper LH corner? I may be able to reprint it.

Yes. That "LAJ" is what I was looking for. Now as long as Eric has the same engine and emissions package, a new pair of labels is easy.

Perhaps - Since Eric may have a different emissions code, the jury is still out on that one.

That's the better attitude to have. We all started in a similar situation. And once you gather the tech help you need, learned a lttle more on your own (hopefully not the hard way, like many of us have), and can hand some of that back to other members, that's all we ask. Of course I wrote that, and recall it. All I meant was that it might be helpful, if Eric has the same code on his VECI label.

We're still waiting to hear that from him.

That IS the kind of label his is asking about however.
