I am looking for a posi rear for my RS. I am in Mass and would prefer something local as it would be too expensive to ship. Please let me know what you have!

The rear end in my car right now is the 7.625/28 spline so if someone has a posi unit w/gears I would be willing to purchase it and install into the one I have now.

I have a set of 4 10 gears with around 1000 miles if you are interested I also have a real good posi unit but it is 26 spline. Let me know if you are interested $100 plus shipping.

 

Are the gears for a 7.5 or 7.625? My guess would be 7.5 if the carrier you have is a 26 spline.

 

They are the same you just need a series 3 carrier to run these gears or a good aftermarket..

 

Ok. I will keep it in mind but this car is mainly for street use so I am really looking for a 3.73 or lower ratio.

I've got a 3.23 POSI Disk brake rear end I can sell..........$175. I live in Rhode Island so you could aviod the expense of shipping the stuff.

I'm pretty sure the 86 year was the first year using a 7 5/8 gear and is 26 spline set-up. The suspension parts have been removed. The Caliper backing plates are still attached to the rear end but The rotors and calipers were removed to stop the axles from "freezing-up", ( they are included. )

The rear end was pulled from my old 86Z a couple of years back. There are NO E-Brake cables included and I'm sure you will need to replace the brake lines. I also have a large number of spare 26 spline axles sitting around.

The plan was to have this rear end as a spare - but I've already got a spare 3.45 9-bolt as well as a 3.42 rear end from my 95 Z. I have no use for the 3.23 rear end and it's better for me to sell it cheap than to let it go to waste !

P.S. I've also got a good set of 3.42 gears as well that can be sold seperately.
