Two things if possible
I am looking to get the firebird back on the road. I was hoping to wait till after the winter, but gas prices have forced me to try and get the more efficent vehicle back on the road. I need only one thing to get it road worthy once again, the Rear hatch motor. Mine broke when the mechanic disconnected it due to the switch shorting out and slammed the hood to try and get it to close all the way. Anyone have one for sale for cheap? It can be manual or power I do not care, I just need to get it working again.
Also, if anyone has a driver's side headlight in working condition for a 1986 Firebird for a good price, I'd consider it. My headlight works, but the motor will only go down, not up. Awhile ago I bought the repair kit from Top-Down, but it won't work on mine, they are a different design. I would be interested in selling/trading that as it's useless to me as is.
Thanks for your time.

I've seen these hatch pulldowns welded in the down position(after they crapped out) and work just fine as a manual type latchs. Remove the rear interior panel, close the hatch, making sure it is latched and hold it in position while another person crawls into the rear cargo area and puts a tack weld onto the pulldown slider.

I could use just two bolts on the assembly as well for the time being. I have it all dismantled and out of the car. I was just hoping to not have to fabricate an answer, as time is limited for myself. College and work take up most of my time. But thanks for the suggestion.
