Old style VSS FOR T-5

From: previously OKINAWA JAPAN,georgia, now new england
Car: 1989 IROC--1989 T/A
Engine: 5.7 TPI in both
Transmission: W/C T-5 in both
Axle/Gears: B/W 3.27 in both
Old style VSS FOR T-5
I need a VSS for a 1989 t-5. I have a VSS out of 1991, BUT THEY SEEM TO BE DIFFERENT. The plugs are not the same, and info is sketchy on the board. I am not sure about the 2000cycle, 4000cyl thing.
If you know more info or can help let me know. I have the 1991 VSS, and a mechanical gear set up for a camaro.
