Need it NOW: T-5 swap parts
I am doing a T-5 conversion to my 87. I have the trans lined up, complete with shift lever, pedals, both shift boots, and bellhousing. Now, I need the following:
Later 80's 2.8 or 3.1 manual flywheel.
Firebird 5-speed shift plate. Preferably cut out for power window switches.
Possibly a VSS from a T-5 (must be trans mounted, no speedo cable crap) if I can't find the right one at a parts house.
May need clutch hydraulics, don't know for sure yet.
Anyone looking for a running/rebuildable V6 700R4 LMK... Will sell cheap. The trans works, but the second gear clutch is starting to slip, and the torque convertor clutch solenoid and switch may need to be replaced. I have a replacement solenoid, and the switch can be had for $23 from GM. This trans may or may not have been well maintained (had 194.5K on it when I bought the car) and has about 212K on it now. I also will sell the shifter parts and the neutral safety switch if anyone needs those.

I don't mean to sound a little impatient here, but:
What, doesn't anyone have a 5-speed 'bird that they are parting out? At this rate, I'll end up cutting the auto shift indicator out of my existing shift plate and reusing that...

Okay, the guy I'm getting the trans from has it out of the 84. However, the bellhousing is JUNK (huge hole in the passenger's side of it), and he has no clutch parts. I have a running bid on a clutch set on eBay, but I'm still out a bellhousing and flywheel. I'll check around on car-part.com and see what I can dig up that's somewhat local, but I'm sure it won't be much...
To summarize, now I need a bellhousing and clutch hydraulics...

How much are you looking to get? I'm on a tight budget, both in time and in the wallet. Right now, I'm looking at the $100 the junkyard guy shaved off of the price for the parts...

As I told the eBay seller I won the clutch hydraulics from, I will send out payment Tuesday since that is the day I get paid. I suppose I will have to wait to pick up the transmission the following week. As it is, right now my Grand Prix is in the garage and the Firebird is on the road since something in the GP broke, and the bird costs slightly more for gas right now...
