Procharger size question?

I was wondering if the D1SC is capable of running 17lbs of boost to a n/a 300 hp 350 cubic inch TPI small block chevy? The salesman I talked to at ATI seemed to think that with a 8 rib pulley supplied in the 3rd gen kit it would slip to much and said I'd be lucky to get 16lbs of boost. From your experience what do you people think? The salesman did say the F1 with the 5:1 stepup ratio should get me there no problem, but if the D1SC will get the job done I'd rather save the extra $450 I'd put out for the F1 to put into subframe connectors and such.
Thanks for the replies in advance.

Umm, I think I'll have to double check, but doesn't the d1sc kit for third gen's come with a 12 rib belt now?. If not just get the cog belt forget about slippage. But if you're still curious drop an email to chriss@procharger.com, he's been the most knowledgeable person there that I've talked to, and will be able to tell you exactly what you need to do to run what you want.
