Any1 tried NOSzle system?

While reading throught the posts on this board, I came across the mention of a method of injecting nitrous direct port style via machined "boots" that slip over your stock injectors.

Under further investigation, I discovered that the only available kits are for mustangs with a few universal kits (for 4, 6, & 8 cyl.).

I was wondering if anyone has tried to adapt the universal kit to our TPI cars. Furthermore, does the increaced efficiency of the direct port allow a bigger shot to be ran (ie 175-200hp) on the stock motor, or do you simply recieve a larger gain from the same size jets/shot?

Basically, I have been unable to find this subject discussed in depth and I would like to gather a collection of opinions/experiences on and with this system as well as how it compares with the standard kit (plate behind TB or jet in intake boot).

Thanks
Kyle

They got them to work by having the regular injector just shoot through the center of the NOSzle, while under nitrous the added fuel and nitrous come from the outside ring. Kinda like this (gonna try a lame diagram here )

XOOOOOX
XOOOOOX
XXX I XXX
XX II XX
XX III XX
N IIIII N

If this comes out right, X's are the NOSzle, O's are the injector, I's are the fuel spray from the injector, and N's are the nitrous mix when under nitrous

Heh well it sorta worked, close enough for you to get the idea I think.

no, i KNOW how they "work"

but have never heard anyone using them yet reason being is the NON nitrous condition

i have disbelieve that have the fuel travel through that extra metal of the NOSzle ISN'T going to effect n/a performance somehow

They SUCK.

They are a decent idea, but did NOT work well on the setup I saw. The car was turbocharged and nitrous-fed. On just boost, the injector is too far from the injector port to get optimal placement and spray pattern. The engine stumbled constantly.

When the engine was sprayed, the engine stumble was smoothed out, only due to the additional fuel supplied by the NOS fuel solenoids.

The car made MORE power on a chassis dyno using the standard setup and a SINGLE fogger nozzle in front of the throttle body.

Save your money...

Don't know what your thoughts are on HOT ROD magazine, but they had an install of the system on a mustang about two months ago. I can't remember how much detail they went into on it, but I'm sure they wouldn't say anything bad. Don't want to upset anybody and lose advertising money.
