I expect to run low 12's at the track and my builder wants to put a 150 shot on my motor. What will that drop the time to, traction providing?

If you have 425 hp on motor there will be no problem getting low 12's with 150 hp shot. Probably 11's. I have a little over 400 hp on motor and on 100 hp shot I ran 12.36 at 110 w/1.8 60' times. I spun badly out of the hole even with wrinkle walls. What tires and gears you gonna run?

Hey, what track you gonna run at? I see that you are a member of central Illinois club. Are you far from Gateway International? I've been wanting to get to that track. It's about 2 1/2 hours away from me.

Sorry to burst your bubble...

...but in order to run 110 mph in the 1/4 with a 3600 lb car you only need 370 rwhp, which equates to 463hp at crank figuring a 20% drivetrain loss. The wet systems for our cars by NX frequently add their advertised hp at the wheels. You will have a 12 sec. capable mph (108 - 112) with a 150hp wet kit on a STOCK motor... hope i was helpful.

Ok, so you guys are saying:
On motor: low 12's
On Nitrous: low 11's

I plan on going to the track at Cordova. Illinois/Iowa border.

I say on the bottle it will go low 12's or high 11's with traction.

Idealy I see my customers going about a second faster with a 150 shot there are exceptions, when traction is overpowered by the increase a car can actually run a slower elapsed time, or a car at high altitude or with a particularly poor or nitrous specific combination will actually gain more than a second.
