how ya getting it all out?
how ya getting it all out?
Ok I know this is an exhaust question and the exhuast forum is there, problem is they don't have the turbos like we do, so the opinions I would get from there would be somewhat a guessing game. Now on all the turbo cars I deal with here we are using upwards of a 3 inch exhaust and these are for lilttle 2.0's and 3.0's. If you bring the exhaust out of the turbos into a 3 inch downpipe/y-pipe configuration where would it be best in the configuration to step it up to a 4 inch? directly after the cross of the y-pipe or 12-14" behind it where the cat normally would be? I have looked at the way the stock system routes and I have a rear muffler setup similar to a corvettes configuration I will be using out back, just trying to get the flow figured out. Looking at flowing 2 TO4E's on this one so I need some ideas here, and taking it to the local muffler shop for a custom job is out of the question. The charge would be upwards of $600 here in japan.

Where the hell have you been? Be sure and email tonight on getting you your stuff...........Not that I'm running the best thing possible but mine is a street car........I'm running the Mufflex 3" y-pipe into the 4" single intermediate into dual 3" outlets. Oh yeah, the 3" down pipes go into the 3" y-pipe from mufflex.

I understand your wanting to run twins, and I don't know if your planning to run them into a single or not but ATR makes some sweet exhasts and mufflers, designed from the start to work with turbo's and they have a single 3" for thirdgen f-cars that has gone 9.50's on a sungle turbo stage 2 TTA.
The only thing I can tell you is to avoid flowmasters, scince they are designed to work well with a pulsing exhaust where turbo's have a streaming exhaust and flows have been found to slow down GN's
