Timing questions with NX kit

I ordered the NX wet nitrous kit (50-150 adj.) and had a few questions. First off, I know that timing has to be retarded 1-2 degrees for every 50 hp, and that colder plugs must be used. However, is the NX kit designed for 6* off stock timing, meaning they want me to run 0* of advance, or does that mean 6* off what I am currently running, meaning that I would be running 6* BTDC (my current setting is 12* BTDC). Basically, I wanted to know if 6* off my current setup would keep cylinder pressures low enough to prevent a blown headgasket or other catastrophy.

Thanks for your help
Kyle

P.S. I will also run the GenX-2 kit and a fuel pressure cutoff switch along with a nitrous filter.

There's no need to retard the timing with the NX kit.

I run my car at 6* timing with a 150 shot....

Just make sure you run 93 octane and you'll be fine.

I've run there 75 shot w/ 10* advance w/o a problem. I do retard it to 6* w/ the 100 shot. Just to be safe.

Unless they've changed something with their kits, not only is there no need, but they recommend against retarding timing (probably mostly so that you get the power increase as tuned by them, but it also prevents other problems by making the setup less complicated)...

They told me that you do not have to touch the timing with the NX system. They actually require that you do nothing to the timing and leave it stcok. Call them direct and ask them, they know the best about their products.
