I was just wondering how hard it is to set up a turbocharger on a small block chevy? What did you guys have to do to get it to work? The reason I am asking is because my friend has a pretty decent turbo out of a Buick Grand National and I was thinking of putting it on my 305 for some extra horses but I don't know what it would take to do it? Is it not worth the effort? What kind of money did you all spend to accomplish it? Thanks!

I'm not trying to be a dick but....have you done a search? There's a lot more info out there than I can give you but anyway....
You're going to have to plumb in the turbo. That means everything. Exhaust, intake, all that good stuff. I don't know what you're running (carb, TBI, CFI, TPI) for fuel stuff, but thats gonna need to be upgraded. A turbo off a GN may or may not give you any performance increases, it really depends on how fast your car is now. A lot of guys have been able to get their TR's into the low 12's with the stock turbo, so that gives a little idea of what kinda performance they can put out. I can't answer your other questions since I haven't actually got this far in my twin turbo project, but look around. Jester did a twin turbo setup as did a couple other guys on this board. Also, check out the junkyard turbo forum on yahoo and go to www.toohighpsi.com He's done this and has some good links to other people who have. HTH's.
