Anyone running a dedicated fuel system for nitrous?
When I get my car back together I'm going to start spraying a 100-125 shot of nitrous. I'm trying to do this as safe as possible because I'm running a bone stock bottom end so I want to put a dedicated fuel system just for the nitrous. I plan on getting a small fuel cell and pump and running race gas in it. Is anyone doing this? Do you think its worth the effort? How exactly did you set it up?
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks,
Chris
on a 125 shot it is overkill. you can mount a small cell where the puke tank is normally mounted under the hood (driver's side front) with a small fuel pump. that's it. The advantage is that you can run regular gas in the tank and high quality race gas in the cell

I know its a little overkill but I figured I could
a) make spraying a little safer
b) have it ready for when I blow up the stock motor and install a built one and use a lot more nitrous.
I don't really like the idea of a fuel cell sitting near my hot engine underneath my hot hood where it MAY leak and set fire to a few things. Although I have seen that done a few times

I have the setup you are trying to run. I run a 1 gallon fuel cell where my smog canister was. i cut a hole out of the metal where it sat. I then mounted the tank about half way down it with a custom bracket. I run a electric pump from the cell to my regulator then from there to my my fuel solenoid. the pum is activated when I turn on the nos arming switch. its a nice setup but a little much for your application.
