Nitrous Gurus - Need Advice

Hey guys, my search on this topic didn't answer my questions, so here it is: I have a 91 RS 305 TBI 125K miles, engine rebuilt around 100K. Everthing's in good shape, stock, but soon to have headers. This is my daily driver 9 months of the year. A friend of mine offered to sell me a 50 HP plate nitrous setup. I know that I need to install colder plugs. My questions are: Will the knock sensor retard timing enough, and soon enough, reliably, or do I mechanically retard it? Will the O2 sensor/ECM richen up the mixture enough, or do I accomplish this another way? Is there anything I'm missing? I don't intend to push the limits with my combination, I just want to have a little fun. I can't afford to grenade a motor right now. Any input is appreciated - Thanks:hail: :hail:

With only a 50 shot you need not worry about anything unless
you already see excessive knock retard ,then you need to back timing off even if you are not juicing.
Will the ks retard enough - yes, but it will be to late then.
The ks retards timing when it hears detonation, you dont want it to let it reach that point.
A 50 shot is virtually harmless, dont worry about plugs unless
100+ ,would not hurt to drop in a cooler t-stat and fan switch
if you dont already have.

Thanks for the info...I was told that a 50hp setup was pretty harmless, I just wasn't sure. Like said before, I can't afford big mistakes right now.
