Nitrous of Supercharger?

here are the specs for teh motor I am building. now I was going to add a 150shot of N20 also, but I noticed for the TPI kit and all the managment systems I'm looking at about $1000, so I got to thinking about maybe doing a S/C would that get me more than 150hp? it would be about $4000 but I just wanna do it right. and wouldn't a S/C be easier on the motor also? thanks

Motor Specs

4340 forged crank
4340 forged rods
forged pistons (10:1)
- custom camshaft like traxion's
- 230º Intake Duration (Xtreme Lobe)

- 0.544" Intake Lift (1.6's) / 0.548" Exhaust Lift (1.52's)
- 113 LSA
AFR 190cc heads
TPIS intake

sounds like a great engine your building, superchargers are expensive however, people have had good luck in running superchargers for thousands of miles..

nitrous is cheap however, you have to keep killing it..

Don't count out the torque that you make with N2O. You may get 150hp but you will probably get at least 180ftlb. The charger makes peak power at high rpm. It is gradual. The bottle makes all of its power at the rpm you hit the button and keeps it. The bottle runs out and is not alwayse there when you need it. Plus if you are street racing from a dig traction becomes a huge issue. I blow the tires off at any thing less than 45mph N/A. IMHO

I got a 100hp and 200tq at the wheels When I was jetted for a 100 shot. I think you will see almost 300ft lbs if you spray a 150 shot. A 150 is about the most you can spray on the street w/ a built motor unless you go to a 2 stage. Its hard to keep the back tires moving the same speed as the fronts when your spraying.
