whats the correlation...

Whats the correlation between engine compression and adding turbochargers to it? Ive not been able to figure it out...

Is a higher compression with turbos better than lower pressure, or is it vice versa. I would think the higher compression like 11:1 with a pair of t3's would be better than say 8:1 with a pair of t3's. Am I Mistaken, If so could you explain it to me?

The more compression you can get away with the better. It makes for less work the turbo has to do but it is easier to mess up the engine when doing that.

That said, I wouldnt run more than 9.5:1 compression with turbos. I am running 9.2:1 on mine and plan on running 25psi of boost eventually. Its all in your timing and fuel map.

Good luck.
