Is ATI Full of it??

I just read an article from ATI that they sent me saying they have taken a completely stock L98 FBody, slapped a procharger on it and got it to run 11's. And then they went on to say lightly modded L98 Fbody's w/their blower could see 10's. Do you all think this is true or do you call BS?

I'll let you know. I'm in 1/3 way through putting in a ATI P1SC w/ 2 core intercooler into my pretty much stock 91 L98 1LE

i would say that they are stretching the truth, I should be able to get into the mid-high 12's this year with traction, on my stock L98. but i don't think 11's are in my future with my set-up.

later

back before the board changed there were quite a few more people running prochargers on this board and running great times

One guy had the P600B with the 9lb pulley and with 3.73 gears and a vigilante he was going mid 12s

Another guy had a BONE STOCK motor, not even exhaust manifolds in a formula and with the 9lb kit was doing the same mid 12s, not sure on the converter

i had a slightly modded stock shortblock with the 12lb kit and i never ET'd well because of my stock converter and 2.77 gears but i did end up going 115mph with is bottom 12s with a gear/converter

It's totally possible you just need to know what you are doing and have the patience to get there

twin intercooled d1sc properly installed and tuned with a high boost it would be very easy.

however, the longivity of the drivetrain is another story. it's like anything, sure you can shoot 200 shot of nitrous into your bone stock 350 and hit it.........is it a good idea though?

ati prochargers are definately nice equipment though. directions are very vague, but all the same the rest is good.

I noticed their instructions being vague. I'm about 50% done installing mine. I write technical manuals as part of my job and I'm thinking of lending them my services!
