electric fp guage?
Jeff,
I removed the schader valve out of the test port on the fuel rail, hooked a 90degree -4an line to it, ran that to the sender, which i mounted on the firewall, then ran the wire inside the car. (in the pic you can see the braided line and fitting.

you guys have a pic of the sender?
i have all the stock pieces that are inside the car still together, however after the swap i lost track of where the actual mechanic parts where and they were never labeled. trying to pick them out of a huge box of parts is rather difficult since i forgot what it looks like.
thanks for the pics guys!!

- aeroquip 90 degree male 1/8 npt to male -4 (steel)
- earls -4 female to -4 female straight union (aluminum)
- removed the schrader's core

Got a few questions....
1~ How hard was the install? Because Im interested in doing a electric fuel pressure guage in my car. But if its really tough..I'll opt for the mechanical one (and yes get the isolator as well)
2~ Do any of you guys have the part #'s handy for this?
Thanks...
Dan

well if you can understand basic electrical setups you shouldn't have a problem. it's much nicer having it in the car so that it's easy to read however sometimes i wonder it's accuracy.

best bet is to pick up a summit catalog and just see what you want. Everyone may have something diff that you might not like the way it was done.
But heres a run down from the list above

thanks for the part numbers TPl383. Do you have to put teflon tape on the threads (for the fittings)??

I thought that a liquid pipe sealant might be good, but I guess you're not supposed to use anything... here's a tech tip from the Aeroquip web site:

i have a question that has something to do with this... in the not too distant future i'll be installing an FMU... i was reading bout the vortec SFMU, and they said you didn't need the stock reg. at all, so first whats the proper way to get rid of it and adapt the SFMU? secondly once i do this it would be very easy to put a fitting for the elec FP gauge in the lines for the SFMU right?
