Looking to go ATI need advice
My current setup is 350 (4 valve flat top hypertectic pistons)
SLP Cam dur 218/224 lift .495/.502 @114 LSA
AFR 190 milled to 64cc
Edlebrock base /SLP runners/ ported TPI plenum/52mm TB
255gph Walbro high flow fuel pump
MSD distributor, MSD Dig6, MSD remote coil
SLP 1/58 headers
2 - 1" rows alum radiator
probuilt trans w/ vigilante 2800 stall/ 3.27 rear gears
730 ECM
w/ suspension mods
I am looking to add an ATI D1SC with dual intercoolers. Here are some things I have questions on:
I estimate my compression to be around ~9.5:1 and from reading up it looks like I should be safe with 8# boost?
Am I better off with FMU or converting to a 749?
I think my cam will work well with a SC?
Will the standard ATI pulleys slip a lot or should I order the 12 rib instead? It sounds like the 12 rib might cause clearance issues with the radiator/fans/hoses?
I am debating about switching from the TPI to a superram along with the Supercharger? I've read a post or two with positive feedback?
Does anyone see problems with this, have answers, or can add something else that I missed or need to consider? I really want to do this right the first time around and do as much research as possible.
Thanks

Car: 1991 Z28
Engine: 305 TPI under 14 psi
Transmission: aftermarket T56
Axle/Gears: Moser 12 bolt 3.08 gears
1. With aluminum heads and 9.5:1 you'll be safe with 8psi.
2. Stick with the FMU at first, then look into something like the 749 swap down the road. To many changes at once = bad in my book.
3. Your cam will work well with a 114 lsa to maximize boost.
4. Yes the serp. pulleys will slip. If I were you I'd looking into a cog setup just do a search and you should find info on it.
5. I'd leave the tpi on it for now remeber to many changes at once can lead to headaches. Then install a superram or stealthram down the road.
Anyways thats my opinion, and I hope it helps you some.

given AFR's kindness of putting a large exhaust port on their heads, and that cams duration/lift favor, along with the 114 lobe sep, i would say it would work pretty well,
that thing should run pretty well, but once you install, get that thing on a dyno, and keep it a little on the fat side, you DONT want detonation on hyper-u-junked its.

For the my application should I be going with the 12 rib or 8 rib until the cog is readily availalbe??? Or are there any draw backs to the larger belt?
