Hey all, first time using this website, i dont know if this is the right place to post it but well if its not, you will just move it. Well I have had my 89' Firebird Formula for a while now, and i want to see if i can add more power to it, its got some add ons already in it, its a 5.0L FI and what not, but if theres anything i could add to my car let me know cause i would like more power!! lol, can we supercharge this thing? or what! lol thanks in advance later

 

Your options are endless!!! You can do bolt-ons, you can do internal mods, superchargers, Nitrous, turbos...you name it, its been done.. Just do a search for whatever intrests you!!

Well thats the thing, Cause i dont know as much as i should about cars, and I dont know what I can add =p

 

Start with a good tuneup. sparplugs, cap and rotor, plug wires, and timing. You can cadd all you want and without a good base you wont realize the power gains of your add-ons.

How fast do you want to go? Are you driving it everyday? What is your budget? Does it need paint and wheels still? How are your tires?

Faster you want to go the more of a money pit your car will be. Are you able to do things yourself? oil changes and such? do you have tools? garage?

Lots of things are needed, unless you have an unlimited budget to pay someont to do it for you..

 

Well im not sure "how" fast i want to go, but i been having some fun racing, and i really got my butt kicked i was thinking i should get some more power into my Bird. I drive the car everyday, because its my only car. My budget; well i work 6 days a week, all i have to pay for is insurence and gas, i can save up money in a lil time just have to know how much i need to save. Paint is perfect ( i can grab some pictures if needed=p ) Wheels looks great they were redone. MY back Tires i think are starting to get to where they need to be repaced. I can do a few things myself, but nothing really. Most of the stuff i have a mechanic do.
