REAL good (and easily understood) info about roots blowers

I was dinking around on the internet today and revisited Holley's website. Significant improvements and additional information vs. a few years ago. This information should get just about anybody in the ballpark who's thinking about putting together a ROOTS-blown engine. I can't say that my expereince lines up 100% with their recommendations, but it comes real close.

Here's the link.....

Of particular interest to me was the part about "effective" compression ratio based on static compression + boost level. Wanna stay out of detonation on pump gas but not sure how much boost you can get away with? Read this. Lines up REAL close with my limited expereince.

Also, the part about spark advance and the shape of the advance curve. That also lines up real close with my expereince.
