How often are those on there? Can you let me know what you find out about whether or not you can run them under a carb?

Also, I assume you are still planning on running a carb for now. How do you plan on mounting a carb to it?

heh, plans change.

im going to wait until i have it in hand to be sure, but i dont see a way to mount a carb easily...

well a older side draft carb perhaps, but theres not room for a "regular" one..

theres a bunch on there.... several ended today matter of fact... search for "eaton" on ebay and scroll down past all the rear end stuff..... if you try searching by to model number or somthing like that, you could miss some easily.... thats how i got this one... noone saw it.

im getting yes and no answers about running them "wet"... i emailed eaton directly, and i plan to post whatever they tell me.

Well, I know an actual eaton engineer that told me that "they were never designed for it and never tested with gas flowing through them so I don't know. I would guess that it wouldn't be a problem for anything but the bearings in the case, the gas would probably wash the lube out killing them."

I am sure it will be fine but, I have no testing to prove or say for sure but, the new S/C 3.8 gms like to throw oil and coolant around alot when the lower int. gaskets leak and it gets everywhere in the S/C even back up to the throttle body. I have not seen any problems with the S/C yet.
