fuel, oil, and other mods for turbo...

well i own a probe and one of the biggest problem with turbo'ing it is you end up starving it of fuel, so you have to buy and FMU and new injectors if possible and maybe a new fuel pump

do you need to upgrade fuel lines, injectors, pump, etc... on a camaro when you turbocharge it or will it get enough fuel as is?

and also do you need to upgradel ike water, oil and other parts to?

or can you basically slap a new intake and carb on there (if carbed) and put some turbos on and clal it good?
i know im skipping a lot of things but still you get what im saying

Radiator has to be upgraded to whatever HP level you plan on - roughly 1/3 of the total combustion output has to get rejected by the radiator.

Stock oiling system is decent, but many folks upgrade to higher volume oilpump.

Stock fuelpump seems OK to about 350 hp. Many upgrade with the Walbro in-tank units (307, 340, etc...) that are good for 600+. Externals are available as well. If you are adding fuel by computer programming instead of higher fuel pressures (rising rate FMU's), the stock fuel pump will be good for decent HP. Pressure lowers pump flow tremendously. Stock fuel lines are fine.

ok thanks for the response it was exactly what i was looking for

i dont plan on putting tons of power down right away
i mean 350 would be jsut fine with me
but eventually within the next couple years i wanna put down over 600

so basically stock set up is ok but upgraded oil pump wouldnt hurt and a bigger radiator wouldnt hurt either.. correct?

Most important is to never run lean, and pull out some timing with boost (MSD BTM is a simple solution, or burning chips/DFI/Felpro). Get a fuel pressure gauge, and a wide band 02 to go with everything. I ran on a mostly stock TPI 350 with the twin turbos for a few years, and never had problems. Just keep the boost down.
