Computer recomendations

I am trying to decide which to do, a forced induction tpi 350 or a NA LT1. My engine is approaching 190k and I am starting to look for engine options, I don't want to put back in the L03.

Any way, If I do the forced induction, probably centrifical supercharger what computer would be best, I am not planing on running anything over 15lbs of boost. Is it posible to reprogram the computer to compensate for the boost with a MSD ignition box or do I need a full aftermarket computer. I am good with electronics/computers so if it can be done with a stock gm computer though compicated Im sure I can pull it off.

Anyone that has a forced induction TPI/Fuel Injection set up let me know what you have in the way of computers and ignitions as well as injector size.

you cannot reprogram your ecm.... but you have options....

1)use your stock ecm with an FMU
2)use a "749" ecm from a syclone/typhoon.. i believe 91/92 f-bodies came with a 730 ecm, and the connectors are identical.. meaning you just need the ecm itself and reprogram it, but if you have an older system you'll need the newer harness
3)aftermarket ecm... accell DFI, F.A.S.T., etc

#1 is cheapest route, but many consider it to be a kinda cheesy way to get the extra fuel

#2 is IMO the best choice for cost and reliability

#3 is the best... if you can afford it.. it will usually run you about $1200-2600

also do a search on "megasquirt" i dont know too much about it, but what i have heard sounds very promising, and its cheap as well, you assemble the ecm yourself which is kinda cool

the syclone computer seems to be only for v6, im assuming you can program them to run the v8, I know the reguilar tpi v8 computer can be set to run the v6, but just want to make sure

thanks for the info, now time to start collecting parts, mine will not be very easy, i am going from a tbi engine to this.

What cars have a 3 bar map sensors, were I can either buy one new or find one in the junk yard. or where is the best place to buy one.

I guess I will start with buying the cables and software.

I will try to find a speed density wireing from the junkyard, I will have to look up the years that are speed density.

oh yea what type of gas mileage can I expect on the highway, not going very agressive build up and would like the keep the gas miliage as good as possible.
