i got a 86 berlinetta camaro for 600 bucks.. it has the 305v8 4 barrel.. i am looking to make it faster.. any ideas? i am on a college budget

the pink slip says 86, but i am not 100 %.. i got the car from my aunt.. there is nothing wrong with the car.. the engine has 157k miles on it, but it runs very strong.. i have not found anything wrong with the car. i want some more power out of my LG4 motor, any ideas?

i am also building up a 67; vw bug that i got for free.. i plan on building a 2 liter porsche motor, bored it to a 2054cc and turbo it..

 

start with a good flowing exhaust system...the stock ones on our cars is like breathing through a straw. No mod/mods is gonna make much difference if the engine is not breathing properly.

 

The reason I ask is that your accessory drive belt is the ’87 only style (they were different in 86 and earler as well as 88 and newer).

As far as your main question, you probably posted in the wrong forum unless you intend to supercharge, turbocharge or run N2O.

As far as what will make it faster, that’s like asking “who lives in the united states.” How do you want to make it faster?
