how to rout all piping for turbos?

al right i think i may have found an intercooler which will have to be mounted in the front . now its the hose/pipe work. i dont know what to do to route everything as im runnin twin turbos with a single in/out front mount intercooler.
if 89JYturbo can chime in on how he went about doing all his piping thatd be nice as his system is pretty similar to mine except the intercoolers. anyways, of course i want to use whatever material to try and keep the charged air and as cool as possible and i want to keep as much boost as possible so all that pretty much eliminates the use of hoses. solid pipe work woulb be best but i cant fab jack squat so what should i do?

I fabbed all of my IC piping using aluminized mandrel bends (U's and J's) purchased from JC Whitney. I then cut then angles needed and welded together. If you don't have access to a welder (which it sounds as though you don't), just use hoses and clamps to hold the piping togther. This my not look quite as professional, since it my have a lot of connections, but it will work and have little flow restriction.

As for the hose material- I tried rubber water pipe connectors purchased at a hardware store on my Cavalier (It was very cheap- like$2.50 each with clamps!), but got very soft from the heat and blew apart. Radiator hose is better, and I have never had problems with it, but it looks a little 'rigged up' if you know what I mean. The best looking, and best performing is the real deal turbo hose from places like HoseTechniques.com or Samco. Its not cheap, but it sure doesn't look 'cheap' when installed either. I recommend using T-Bolt clamps to hold it all together, but worm clamps seem to work well as long as you keep after them (they can work loose over time).

For bringing the two compressor outlets together for the single inlet IC, you could buy a Y-pipe from Summit (Flowmaster makes a good flowing unit).
