Does anyone have a pic that they could post of the old style paxton super charger set up for the 85-87 iroc. I would love to see how the set up is. I am tring to find one for my car and would like to see what it would look like.

Thank you

Thanks for that pic that is a sweet set up. Do you like it? what modifications do you have to make for the install? I have to have my car inspected and it must pass a sniff test will it pass with one of those on it or will it throw everything off?

later kris

Kris,

I haven't had a Paxton since 2000. So I really don't remember what's involved in the installation. You might want to search for "Blown87". He currently runs a Paxton on his Camaro.

I'm now running an ATI F1 with twin intercoolers. For pics, click on "SC Z!!!" in my sig above.

You won't have a problem passing a tailpipe sniffer. I have to go through the sniffer every year and have never come close to the maximums.

I have not had one since 2000 either>>>> but the black flex hose goes to the AIR filter which is located under the battery tray on the pass side...

I still have a bit of useless information on these..

The installation is pretty easy. Here are a few photos, I hope they help.

These kits are designed for the v-belt set up(85-87). '88 and up use the serpentine belt, which have kits that are still available.

The kits for the serpt. set up are not from paxton. Check ATI superchargers they offer them. They look like a sweet set up and you can get more boost.
