Any crate V8's suited for boost?

Are there any companies out there making crate motors to handle boost? I want to eventually run about 10 lbs of boost and really would just like to buy a crate motor instead of having one built. At least for now.

If there was a crate motor built to handle decent amounts of boost, I would think that it would be more expensive to buy that than just building your own. Unless youre strapped for resources to build a motor(ie garage, tools, ect), I would seriously looking into building your own to save a good chunk of change that can be put towards other things.

For a shortblock I am sure that you could talk with one of them that will change the pistons to forged dished ones so you could have the proper CR. The key would be picking corresponding heads. Look for one that has "options".

I woudln't be surprised if that isn't a regular request with so of the more special houses. The same requiremets go for supercharged solutions also.

through ebay you have acess to some very nice engine builder selling 350 with all forged asseblies in the same or lower price range than the crate motors come in.

The Motown 454 small block crate motor is built with all forged pieces. It would just require them to build it with lower compression. I would think that it wouldn't be that difficult to order one with low compression for boost.
